Researcher
This project reflects my independent research and design efforts to examine the role of scaffolding in project-based learning. I was responsible for all aspects of the work, from conceptual development to data analysis and visual presentation. It was a valuable opportunity to synthesize research, apply critical thinking, and communicate key findings in an accessible format.
Building Foundations: Inclusive STEM Engagement in Early Childhood
Instructional Design Intern
This poster highlights my internship experience with STEMIE, where I independently led instructional and research efforts within early childhood playgroups. My responsibilities included designing and facilitating STEM-based activities, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting the development of inclusive practices for young children with disabilities. Through this work, I applied design thinking principles to empathize with stakeholders and propose data-informed innovations aimed at improving early STEM education.

This empathy map represents a fictional customer, a recent graduate facing the stresses of transitioning into post-graduation life. It outlines her thoughts, emotions, and actions, such as concerns about job prospects, managing finances, and unclear future milestones. The map also highlights her desire for career advancement, mentorship, and guidance in making life decisions like buying a house and balancing work-life responsibilities. These insights were used to better understand the customer’s needs and to develop solutions that support her through this pivotal life stage.
