EdTech Start up Project

Roll Call is an EdTech tool developed as part of a class project to create a startup solution for the education sector. Using the Lean Business Canvas framework, I designed a mobile app aimed at transforming the traditional attendance tracking system in schools and training programs.

Key elements of the business model include:
Problem: Teachers spend excessive time on manual attendance, leading to administrative inefficiency and less focus on instruction.

Solution: Roll Call leverages facial recognition and Touch ID for automated, secure, and accurate attendance management.

Unique Value Proposition: Provides time-saving, reliable, and secure attendance tracking while integrating seamlessly with existing student information systems.

Key Metrics: Time saved in class, reduction in manual errors, parental engagement through real-time notifications, and improved administrative reporting.

Customer Segments: K-12 schools, universities, and corporate training programs.

Channels: Direct sales, educational conferences, and partnerships with school districts.

Cost Structure: Development and maintenance of the app, marketing, and customer support.

Revenue Streams: Subscription model for schools and institutions, with potential expansion into corporate training programs.

Through this project, Roll Call aims to enhance educational efficiency, improve security, and enable data-driven decision-making for better student outcomes.
